Takapuna centre updates

Upcoming Learner Pool closure for installation of new circulation system

Our Learner Pool will be closed from 3–19 April for additional upgrade work, including the installation of a new circulation system. This work is essential to help us maintain high-quality facilities for our community.

Learn to Swim classes will not be affected, as this closure is over the Easter break and the April school holidays.

The Learner Pool is mainly used by children learning to swim or families visiting during school holidays, so most members won’t be affected by this closure.

All other facilities remain open, including the lane pool, sauna and steam room, spa pool, and fitness gym.

Thank you for your patience while we complete this work.

Ngā mihi,
The Team at Takapuna Pool and Leisure Centre

Centre closure for swimming carnival

We are excited to host one of our local school's swimming carnival on Friday 13 March from 8.30am to 3.30pm. This means the entire centre will be closed during these hours to the public, which includes:

  • Lane pool
  • Learner pool
  • Sauna and Steam Room
  • Spa pool
  • Fitness gym

Please note that Aqua classes are cancelled for this day.

The centre will be open from 5.30am-8.30am and from 3.30pm-9pm and you are welcome to use the centre at these times. If that doesn't fit with your schedule, feel free to visit our centres in Glenfield, Birkenhead or Albany while we're closed. Members - just check in with the team at reception when you arrive.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Ngā mihi,
The Team at Takapuna Pool and Leisure Centre
