Upcoming Centre closure for maintenance
Check out the key dates and details below so you can plan ahead!
Dates of closure: Monday 9 February to Sunday 8 March 2026 (reopening Monday 9 March 2026)
- All facilities will be closed during these dates.
What's happening during the closure
- General maintenance in all areas of the centre
- Chemical cleaning of high-use areas
- Improvements to the overall condition of the facilities
- Safety checks.
What about my membership/10-visit pass?
- Gym It members will have your membership upgraded to an All Centre Gym Access only, so you can still get your workout in at another Auckland Council-owned and operated gym*
- Swim It members will have your membership upgraded to an All Centre Swim Access only, so you can still swim at another Auckland Council-owned and operated pool*
- Get into It members do not need to be suspended or upgraded as your membership already has access to other centres*
- 10-visit passholders will be suspended from 9 February to 8 March 2026 (those with Swim only 10 and Swim Plus 10 can use the centres listed below)
Learn to Swim customers
Learn to Swim lessons will be suspended during the closure. You will not be charged any fees.
*Locations you can have access to during the shutdown:
- Albany Stadium Pool
- Birkenhead Pool and Leisure Centre
- East Coast Bays Leisure Centre, Browns Bay (gym only)
- Glenfield Pool and Leisure Centre
- Stanmore Bay Pool and Leisure Centre
If you are unable to use another centre during the closure, please email us with a suspension request by 4 February 2026, or you can suspend your membership online via myLEISURE. Visit our website to see how you can suspend your membership online. Alternatively, next time you're in the centre, talk to our staff at reception.
