Upcoming closures for annual maintenance

It's that time of year again - we've got some areas closed for maintenance coming up - check out the key dates and details below so you can plan ahead!

Aquatics area: Monday 20 July to Sunday 2 August 2026 (reopening Monday 3 August)

The entire aquatics area will be closed for the following general routine maintenance:

• Pool plant maintenance on all pools and swim plus zones (spa, sauna, steam room) and including the poolside changing rooms
• Deep clean of high-use areas
• Paint touch-ups and general maintenance.

Fitness Gym: Friday 24 July 9am-1pm

• The gym will be closed between 9am and 1pm for a deep clean of all flooring, equipment and high-use areas.

What about my membership/10-visit pass?

• Get into It members your pass will remain active, and you can use your membership at any of our Silver and Bronze centres. If you're not able to visit another centre, you can suspend your membership online via myLEISURE - see below for more information on how to do this.
• Swim It members all Swim It memberships will be suspended during the closure. If you would like to use another centre, please email us at lloydelsmorepools@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz or talk to our team in-centre to unsuspend your membership
• 10-visit passholders (swim only and swim plus) you can use your pass at any of these centres (Stanmore Bay, Albany, Glenfield, Birkenhead, Takapuna, Tepid Baths, West Wave, Manurewa Pools).

*Get into It members can use the following Auckland Council owned and operated centres with pools and swim plus zones:

• Ōtara Pool and Leisure Centre 
• Manurewa Pool and Leisure Centre 
• Moana Nui-a-Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre (Māngere)
• Papatoetoe Centennial Pools
