UPDATE: Thursday 25 November 2021

Auckland: Will move to RED in the COVID-19 Protection Framework from 11:59pm Thursday 2 December 2021

Vaccination Requirement: During RED and ORANGE, all customers aged 12 and over will be required to show their vaccine pass to staff upon entry. 

All pools and leisure centres will open on Friday 3 December in a staggered approach with gyms and group fitness opening first.
  • Memberships and passes will remain on hold until Sunday 5 December. Details on our re-opening will be announced next week.
  • Swimming lessons will start on Monday 6 December and will run until the end of term, Sunday 19 December.

All members, passholders, and swim school students should have received an email from us about our vaccination approach. It's important you read this and make sure you understand what our approach is. If you did not receive an email, please contact us at tepidbaths@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz

UPDATE effective from Monday 8 November 2021

Auckland: Moving to Alert Level 3 Step 2.

Tāmaki Makaurau will move to Alert Level 3 Step 2 at 11.59 pm Tuesday 9 November 2021.
 
Our gyms and pools remain closed for now. We'll have further updates over the coming weeks.
All memberships and lessons remain on hold.
Outdoor Fitness Sessions: While our facilities are closed, some of our leisure centres are still delivering Outdoor Fitness Sessions for $10 each during Level 3. To see what classes are available near you, visit myLEISURE.
Facebook Live Group Fitness: We are also still running our FB Live Group Fitness classes in our members-only group. Join our Facebook Group here.

UPDATE effective from Monday 1 November 2021

Auckland: Remains in Alert Level 3 Step 1

The government has made an in-principle decision to move Tāmaki Makaurau to Alert Level 3 Step 2 on Tuesday 9 November.
 
If we are to move stages:
  • Our centres remain closed, including the pools during Alert Level 3 Step 2.
  • Memberships and lessons remain on hold until we reopen

Auckland will remain in Alert Level 3 at 11:59pm on Tuesday 5 October into Step 1 of the new phased approach. With the Government review on Monday 11 October 2021. We will have further updates next week.
All pools and leisure centres remain closed under Alert Level 3. And memberships and passes will remain on hold.

Auckland will move to Alert Level 3 at 11:59pm on Tuesday 21 September for 2 weeks. With the Government review on Monday 4 October 2021.
The rest of New Zealand will remain at Alert Level 2.
All pools and leisure centres remain closed under Alert Level 3.

All pools and leisure centres are closed under Alert Level 4.

Auckland: ALERT LEVEL 4 for next 7 days
Rest of New Zealand: ALERT LEVEL 4 for next 3 days

Following on from the Government announcement this evening, from 11.59pm tonight 17 August, all of New Zealand moves to Alert Level 4. The Alert Level will be reviewed after 3 days with the exception of Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau and the Coromandel Peninsula which will stay at Alert Level 4 for 7 days.
Our centre will be closed for a period of 7 days initially while we wait for further updates from the Government.

This includes:

- All pools (including spas/saunas/steam rooms)
- Gym
- Learn to Swim

If you have a membership with us, this will be automatically suspended until we can reopen again.

We will keep this page up-to-date with the latest information when we have it available. You can find the latest information on COVID-19 and the lockdown itself on the Ministry of Health's dedicated COVID-19 website.

Auckland: ALERT LEVEL 1
Rest of New Zealand: ALERT LEVEL 1

Auckland is back at Alert Level 1 effective from 12pm Friday 12 March 2021. This means that our centre will be back to our Level 1 standards from Saturday 13 March. While some Level 2 restrictions will be lifted from 12pm today, our staff will be working hard to get our centre back to our Level 1 standard for tomorrow.

We did it! Welcome back to Alert level 2, Auckland!

Thank you for your commitment to preventing the spread of COVID-19 this last week – we are happy to be reopening our doors from Sunday 7 March 2021.

Our member and staff’s health and safety are our top priority at Alert Level 2, and things will look different and we do have restrictions in place. Please see the Covid-19 page for further details.

Services Opening are:

- Gym 
- Indoor Pools (see times below)
- Learn to Swim classes
- Spa

*Lane swimming 
- Monday to Friday, 5.30am-9pm
- Weekends, 7am-6pm

*Fun lanes/leisure swimming session times
- Monday to Thursday, 8am-9.30am, 1pm-3.30pm and 7pm-9pm
- Friday, 8am-9.30am, 1pm-3.30pm, 5.30pm-9m
- Weekends, 1pm-6pm

Services remaining closed are:

Sauna/Steam room

Auckland: ALERT LEVEL 3
Rest of New Zealand: ALERT LEVEL 2

The Government has announced that Auckland will move up to Alert Level 3 at 6am, Sunday 28 February for 7 days, therefore our centre will be closed.

This includes:

- Gym
- Learn to Swim
- Pools (including spas, saunas and steam rooms)

If you have a membership with us, this will be automatically suspended until we can reopen again.

If you are enrolled in Learn to Swim we will be emailing families with additional information by midday Wednesday.

We will keep this page up-to-date with the latest information when we have it available, but for now please keep practicing good hygiene, social distancing, noting your whereabouts, wearing a mask, and getting tested if you have any symptoms. You can find the latest information on COVID-19 and the lockdown itself on the Ministry of Health's dedicated COVID-19 website.
