Te Matariki Clendon centre updates
Maintenance Closure
Te Matariki Clendon Community Centre and Library is temporarily closed from 18 July 2026 until Winter 2027, to allow for essential building maintenance and upgrades.
These improvements will help ensure the facility continues to serve our community safely and effectively into the future.
Our team is working hard to relocate all programmes and services to Manurewa Leisure Centre for the duration of the closure. We are committed to minimising disruption during this period, while continuing to provide safe, high-quality experiences and support for families and our community.
Key Details
The final day of operations at the centre will be 17 July 2026, with relocation beginning 18 July 2026, and the closure expected to continue until Winter 2027.
Programmes and services will temporarily relocate to Manurewa Leisure Centre.

Community and group bookings
OSCAR and Holiday Programmes
All OSCAR and Holiday programmes will continue to run from Manurewa Leisure Centre during the closure, with the same programme hours and school pick-ups and drop-offs operating as normal.
Our team will also relocate with the programme, and the same staff will deliver programmes where possible to maintain familiarity and routine, with activities and daily schedules kept consistent to support a smooth transition.
Bookings and Enrolments
All existing bookings and enrolments remain valid.
Programme enrolments will continue at Te Matariki until 17 July 2026, then from 18 July, enrolments will need to be made with the Manurewa Leisure Centre.
