Upcoming closures for annual maintenance

It's that time of year again - we've got some areas closed for maintenance coming up - check out the key dates and details below so you can plan ahead!

Aquatics area: Monday 22 June to Sunday 5 July 2026 (reopening Monday 6 July)

The entire aquatics area, including all pools and swim plus zones will be closed for the following maintenance and upgrades:

• General routine maintenance on all pools including spa and sauna -
  • Pool plant maintenance and servicing
  • Deep clean of high-use areas including all changing rooms
  • Repairs to tiles, etc.

Group Fitness classes: Monday 22 June to Sunday 5 July 2026 (resume Monday 6 July)

The group fitness spaces will be closed for the following maintenance:

• Tile replacement
• Paint touch-ups
• Deep clean of carpeted areas.

Gym: Two-day closure - Friday 26 June and Saturday 27 June 2026 (reopening 8am Sunday 28 June)

The gym will be closed for the following maintenance and cleaning:

• High dusting/cleaning
• Deep clean of high-use areas - flooring and carpets
• Paint touch-ups and general maintenance.

What about my membership/10-visit pass?

• Get into It members you can visit any of the centres listed below*. If you're not able to visit another pool or gym, you can suspend your membership online via myLEISURE - see below for more information on how to do this.
• Swim It and Move It members you can visit any of the gyms or pools listed below* (Move It members please note you will be unable to book group fitness classes at another centre). If you're not able to visit another pool or gym, you can suspend your membership online via myLEISURE - see below for more information on how to do this.
• Gym It members please see our team if you would like to use the gym at any of the centres listed below on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June.
• 10-visit passholders (swim, swim plus, aqua group fitness) will be suspended from 22 June to 5 July

Learn to Swim customers

All classes will be paused and spaces held during the closure. No payments will be deducted for customers who pay weekly. If your payment schedule is fortnightly, you may be charged during the closure, but will be credited the following fortnight.

Lessons will resume as normal from Monday 6 July 2026.

*Members can use the following Auckland Council owned and operated centres:

• Moana Nui-a-Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre (pools, spa, sauna and gym)
• Ōtara Pool and Leisure Centre (pools, spa, sauna and gym)
• Papatoetoe Centennial Pools (pools, spa, sauna and cardio room)
