Manurewa Leisure Centre is your friendly, community-focused centre for getting active and having fun. We've got casual sports, karate and there's loads of basketball (and netball and badminton) and activities for older members of our community, too.
Dance and culture groups love our mirrored recreation hall, and we host many significant celebrations like birthdays and weddings — each of our halls has its own kitchen along with tables and chairs. Bonus: there's plenty of parking.

Group fitness classes
Play your role
Keep everyone safe and healthy! Good hygiene is something we can all practice - here's a few friendly reminders of the basics:
- Bring your towel (no towel = no workout)
- Cover your coughs and sneezes (into your elbow or with tissues and dispose of these into the bin immediately)
- Wash your hands frequently
- Wipe equipment you have used (while our staff clean regularly, we need your help too - we have wipes and sprays for you to use)
- Shower before you swim or jump in for an aqua class (help us keep our pools clean)
- And, stay home if you are unwell - play it safe.

About us
Not sure what to do with the kids before and after school?
Book them into out of school care at Manurewa Leisure Centre and we'll take care of them for you!
We offer a safe, proactive and fun environment, and supervised activities that include games, a variety of sports and trips to the Manurewa pool and library.
Kids also have access to after-school programmes at the leisure centre, such as basketball and other fun games.

About our programme
Based out of Manurewa Leisure Centre, our friendly and experienced staff will keep your kids active, learning new things, making new friends and building their confidence — all in their local community.
Our affordable school holiday programme for 5 to 13-year-olds includes activities like carnivals, swimming, park visits, adventure days, movies and more

Holiday programme dates are Monday 30 September - Friday 11 October, excluding weekends.
Hours
The programme runs from 9am to 5pm.
Before programme care is available from 8am to 9am. After programme care is available from 5pm to 6pm.

You may be eligible for a WINZ Holiday Programme Subsidy. Visit the WINZ website for more information.
Enquiries and enrolment
- Enrolments open Monday 2 September
- Enrolment form will be available from reception on Tuesday 20 August, and online from Sunday 1 September.
- If you're eligible for WINZ subsidies, we recommend preparing all required paperwork as soon as possible. Full payment is required to confirm enrolments.

Off-peak discount
We offer 20 per cent discount for off-peak times
Off peak times are 9am-3pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
Regular hirer discount
We offer a 20 per cent discount off the standard hourly rate to regular hirers.
Regular hirers are individuals or organisations who hire a venue we manage 10 times or more over the calendar year (1 January to 31 December)
Community group discount
We offer a 30 per cent discount to community groups.
For groups that meet certain criteria, community groups can get 30 per cent off the standard hourly rate.
These discounts can be stackable using reverse compounding methodology and cannot be added together. Maximum discount of 55 per cent
